Principal's Report
Today our Year 6 Netball team represented our school at the Regional Finals at the Netball NSW School Cup in Maitland. Congratulations to all students involved and special thanks to Mrs Taylor and to Miss Petett for their work with the Netball teams.
Last week, we welcomed our 2026 Kindergarten cohort for their first Orientation Day. The children had a wonderful morning exploring the school, meeting their teachers, and making new friends. They were also very excited to meet their Year 5 buddies. Congratulations to all involved, the day was a great success. We look forward to seeing Kinder 2026 again next term for more transition visits as they continue their journey towards starting school.
Our Fathers’ Day celebration last Friday was a very special event. Thank you to all the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and family members who were able to join us at school to celebrate the important role they play in our students’ lives. The morning was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments that reminded us of the strength and love within our school community. A big thank you to the staff for organising the Liturgy and the catering for this celebration.
We are incredibly proud of our students who represented our school at the Regional Public Speaking Finals on Monday at St James’. Their speeches were clear, concise, and confidently delivered, showcasing their hard work and dedication. A huge congratulations to Josephine S, who placed 1st in Stage 1, and to Arlo C, who was runner-up in the Early Stage One category. Both students will go on to represent the Central Region at the Diocesan Final later this month. What an outstanding achievement! Thank you to Mr Hamilton for organising this event.
We are eagerly looking forward to our upcoming Grandparents and Family Day, which promises to be a day filled with warmth, celebration, and gratitude. This special occasion will begin with a beautiful liturgy to honour the cherished role our grandparents and family members play in our lives. Following the liturgy, our whole school performance will showcase the incredible talents of all our students. It will be a joyful celebration of community, creativity, and connection, and we can’t wait to share it with our families. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the staff for making this day possible. So much work, time and organisation goes into making an event like this a success. We look forward to seeing all the families at our school on this day.
Thank you again for your ongoing support.
Kind regards,
Mrs Sonya Boslem
