ANZAC Commemorative Service
We have accepted an invitation from the Merewether-Hamilton-Adamstown RSL Sub-Branch to attend the annual Anzac Day Service to be held at the WWI Memorial, 282 Brunker Road, Adamstown on Friday, 25 April at 8.30am. Year Six students will lay a tribute on behalf of our school. The invitation stated that "the ceremony will commemorate the service and sacrifice by the men and women of Australia’s Armed Forces, including those in civilian roles, in protecting Australia and its interests during times of war, conflict, peacemaking and peacekeeping operations since the ANZACS landed on Gallipoli in 1915."
If any students would like to attend, please dress in full school uniform (not sports uniform), and meet Mrs Boslem and myself on the corner of Lockyer and Brunker Rds by 8:20am. We will stand together as a group throughout the service; however, I ask that parents remain nearby and collect their children from us at the conclusion of the service.
Many thanks,
Mrs Melissa Szekelyhidy
