Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the middle of Term One, it’s been an exciting and busy start to the school year. One of the standout moments so far has been our successful Welcome BBQ on Wednesday evening! It was fantastic to see so many new and returning faces coming together, enjoying good food and great company. The event provided the perfect opportunity for families to reconnect, make new friends, and kick off the school year in a positive and vibrant way. Thank you to the Staff for their organisation and time committed to the event.
Looking ahead, we have several events to look forward to. Our Opening School Mass will take place next Friday, a special occasion that brings our school community together to celebrate the beginning of the academic year and reflect on our shared values. We also eagerly anticipate the commissioning of our Year 6 Leaders, where our senior students will be formally welcomed into their leadership roles. This marks an important milestone in their school journey and congratulate them on taking on their leadership roles.
Next week, we will be holding Meet and Greet Teacher, Parent and Student meetings. It is wonderful opportunity for parents and students to connect with their teachers, sharing insights about the year ahead, and discussing ways to best support each student’s growth and development. These meetings are invaluable in strengthening the partnership between home and school, ensuring that we are all working together towards the same goals for our students.
I also want to announce the upcoming Open Evening on March 6th, for prospective families interested in enrolling at our school. This will be a great opportunity to explore our classrooms and see the dynamic learning happening across all stages, from Kindergarten to Year 6. Each classroom will feature displays showcasing the students' work and the exciting learning journey that unfolds as they progress through the years. We look forward to welcoming new families and giving them a glimpse into our vibrant school community.
The canteen is now available for lunch and recess on Tuesday and Friday, and for recess only on Wednesday and Thursday. A huge thank you to Mrs Bates, Canteen Supervisor for preparing the new menu, which offers a variety canteen favourites and fresh and healthy options for students. Be sure to check out the updated offerings on Flexischools and encourage your child to take advantage of these delicious choices!
It’s been a wonderful start to the year, and we’re excited for the many more memories and milestones yet to come. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in making this term such a success!
Best Wishes,
Mrs Sonya Boslem
